News The Arboriculture Society of Michigan (ASM) members include arborists, urban foresters, municipal and utility foresters, processionals tree workers/climbers in all aspects of tree health care in Michigan Mission: To promote and encourage use of arboriculture/urban forestry services by homeowners and businesses. To develop and promote high professional standards, sound practices within the industry. To work cooperatively with professional associations in the field of arboriculture/urban foresters toward mutually compatible objectives.
The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) has served the tree care industry for over eighty years. Through research, technology and education ISA promotes professional practice of arboriculture and foster a greater public awareness to the benefits of trees.
Global ReLeaf of Michigan, Inc. is a grass roots volunteer, non profit organization. Mission: To educate the public on the value of trees, need for proper selection and maintenance. This is accomplished by working with community groups on local tree planing projects by providing information, materials and presentation.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of Michigan State University, is a resource for managing pests. Identifying insects, nematodes, weed and diagnosis services for fruit, field crops, vegetables, turf grass, nursery, home and landscape utilizing a large number of faculty and staff presently active in the arena. |
